THE CHAIRMAN

As Monarch Aviation approaches its twentieth year as an FAA certified repair station, I would like to reflect on how Monarch Aviation has grown and developed into the company it is today.

From Monarch’s humble beginnings in Lynn Haven, Florida, where we offered ‘on-site’ avionic services, to our initial residency at DeFuniak Springs airport, working out of the only hangar at that time, the old paint hangar. Then the company relocated to Destin Airport for four years until they knocked down the old paint hanger to make way for the new terminal building at DeFuniak Springs, and Monarch Aviation returned home to a custom-built hangar, where we have resided for almost eleven years.

It never ceases to amaze me when I open log books and see the dates on our old maintenance entries. I am especially proud of all the friends that we have made and we still see to this day.  We have come a long way, with Monarch Aviation now being dealers with the following: (in no particular order)

  • Garmin
  • Appareo
  • Avidyne
  • Genesys systems (S-TEC)
  • Aspen Avionics
  • Mid-Continent
  • JP Instruments
  • Electronics International
  • Auracle
  • Free Flight Systems
  • Insight Avionics

These dealerships allow Monarch Aviation to offer any and all options for our customers. We welcome you to come by and visit anytime! We really prefer the face-to-face personal touch, so that you get a sense of who we are and we get to put faces to names, phone calls and emails.

!!! SERVICING TIP !!!

After servicing new batteries, cover the vent holes, turn upside down and shake for 30 seconds. This gets the bubbles out so the acid can saturate the cells. This will extend the life of the battery (Gill Batteries).
